Talents

I peel the guava from our orchard
tune up the guitar to sing my sadness
on a round canvas
I paint a sky with infinite moon
write a thousand and one verses
take you by the hand to the hill of Guiengola
wear my embroidered dress
to dance at the vela of Tehuantepec

the night is lit with fireworks and saints

in the morning
reading the newspaper
we put the world in order
